The website portfolio below shows some of the websites I have designed and deployed in the last couple of years. For these sites, I have done all of the graphic design, coding, and database design. The technologies used for each site are listed below the description. All sites were developed from the ground up, except a few instances where I used an existing CMS or framework (mentioned in the site description where applicable).

Artist Bill FitzGibbons needed a website to show his work, including images of sculptures, web-optimized videos, and his CV.

A number of galleries have sprung up on South Flores street in San Antonio, and needed a website to highlight the variety of exhibits and events in the South Flores Arts District. This site integrates with the databases of several of the galleries’ websites (which I also designed), ensuring that it always reflects the latest event information.

The One9Zero6 Gallery needed a site that could function as a database for their artists and exhibits, as well as a way for people to locate and contact the gallery. The site can be updated by gallery employees through a simple web-based interface.

Salon Mijangos needed a place to post information on art class schedules, teachers, and upcoming events in the gallery. The site runs on a database and is integrated with Google Calendar.

Tambopata Partners wanted a central site to show their collection of Peruvian artifacts, Coptic papyri, and historical maps. This is a database-driven site which allows the owner to add and remove artifacts, books and maps through a web-based interface. The Tambopata Partners site makes use of the Code Igniter framework.

FL!GHT Gallery needed a way to post information on upcoming (and past) exhibitions. Using a bit of JavaScript and CSS, I created a list of exhibits in which each item expands to show more about the show. The database back-end allows the owner of the gallery to update exhibitions himself through a web-based interface.

Laura Varela is a film maker who wanted a portfolio of her work on the web. The site includes links to news about her work, trailers for films, and other information. I have also integrated TextPattern CMS software to allow Varela to post news items and images in a blog format.

Emvergeoning is an arts blog I started in 2006. This blog uses WordPress as the CMS, and is laid out with a modified theme. Using Google Maps I integrated a map of the galleries in San Antonio, and used Google’s AdWords to integrate text-based advertisements.
